Stonecrest among Metro Atlanta sites still vying for Amazon’s HQ2

Stonecrest remains in the running to become home of Amazon’s second headquarters, a spokeswoman for the city said.

Amazon announced Thursday that Atlanta is among 20 metro areas that made the cut out of over 200 applications. Stonecrest in southeast DeKalb County has pitched itself as a potential site.

Stonecrest Mayor Jason Lary discusses the digital ad campaign targeted for Amazon employees in the Seattle area.

Stonecrest city officials offered to donate portions of the town to Amazon and rename the newly formed municipality after the company.
