South Fulton residents will have the chance to vote in November on the prospect of their own city.

Gov. Nathan Deal's signed the measure Tuesday that will allow the referendum to move forward.

Supporters of the measure will celebrate the chance to vote with a press conference at 10:30 a.m. Friday in room 216 of the state Capitol.

The vote will be held Nov. 8.
