Service for the Atlanta Streetcar was suspended late Thursday as crews tried to repair a sinkhole on Edgewood Avenue, city officials said.

Shuttle buses were deployed to take Streetcar passengers between the service’s 12 stops, the city said. Crews, meanwhile, worked on repairing the sinkhole, which is in the eastbound lane of Edgewood between Jesse Hill Drive and Bell Street.

The Streetcar is expected to resume normal service at 6 a.m. Friday.
