The Silver Comet Trail bridge over Noses Creek, located near the Carter Road parking lot and trail mile marker 8.4, will be closed Monday through Feb. 20.

The wooden bridge has been undergoing repairs and maintenance for damaged supports and overgrown trees.

Crews are expected to begin replacing the decking that makes up the walkway this week, so they need to close that section, said County Spokesman Ross Cavitt.

There will be no access through the construction site during the closure and no detour.

The Wild Horse Creek Trail that runs under the bridge should remain mostly open but could face temporary closures.

Parts of the Carter Road parking lot will also be closed for construction equipment and supplies.
