As a vote to form a city out of unincorporated South Fulton nears, Fulton County is nearing the end of a comprehensive plan that will set a plan for that area if it does not become a city.

A first draft of the 2035 Comprehensive Plan will be available for public input Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the county’s community zoning board meeting.

It will be held at the South Fulton Service Center at 5600 Stonewall Tell Road in College Park.

After a presentation on the plan, people will be able to ask questions. The first draft will also be presented to Fulton County commissioners at their Aug. 3 board meeting.

It must be reviewed by the state, then adopted by the board before it is official.

Additionally, South Fulton residents will vote this fall on whether they want the county’s last unincorporated area to become a city.

For more information on the 2035 plan, see http://www.fultoncountyga.gov/fcpcsd-home or call 404-612-7800.
