A luxury movie theater is being planned next to the film studio that has changed the face of Fayette County.

Backers of Pinewood Forest, a 235-acre mixed-use development near Fayetteville's Pinewood Studios, say they will break ground next year on an eight-screen theater that will include "800 VIP lounge chair seats, as well as restaurant and bar amenities.

“The state of the art facility will complement our vision for Pinewood Forest to become a premier entertainment, culinary and wellness destination in the southeast,” Pinewood Forest President Rob Parker said in a release.

Pinewood Studios wants to help the next generation of screen writers.

The development is projected to open in 2020 and is a partnership between the firms of Pace Lynch Corporation, Spotlight Theatres and Alerion Services.
The auditorium will feature immersive digital audio, digital 4K projection, reclining seats with wide spacing between rows for extra legroom and an expanded concession menu.

Pinewood Studios Atlanta is home to several blockbuster movies, including "Black Panther," the Avengers franchise and other Marvel Studios Films.

"Georgia is a world leader in feature film production and Pinewood Forest is the perfect place to experience that artistry," Parker said.
