Two men and a woman are the finalists to be the next executive director of the State Ethics Commission.

They are:

Cassandra Lawson, chairwoman of the city of Atlanta's Civil Service Board and employee relations manager with the Department of Juvenile Justice;

John Truslow, associate director for the Center for Ethics and Corporate Responsibility at Georgia State University, and ethics program manager for XO Communications;

and David Von, executive vice president of HomeCoast Capital LLC in Decatur.

One of the three will replace Rick Thompson, who is leaving to start a private consulting firm. All three will be interviewed by the commission Oct. 15.
