Director of DeKalb medical examiner’s office recognized

DeKalb County is honoring DeWayne Calhoun, the director of the county Medical Examiner’s office, who is retiring after nearly 30 years of government service.

The DeKalb Commission recognized Calhoun on Tuesday with a ceremony and presentation.

Calhoun joined DeKalb Police in 1987 and was later appointed director of the Medical Examiner’s office, where he secured accreditation from the National Association of Medical Examiners.
