DeKalb health info and check-ups offered

DeKalb County residents can get free weight counseling and check-ups at an annual health fair Aug. 6.

The health fair, sponsored by the DeKalb branch of the NAACP and Commissioner Larry Johnson, will provide health education, blood pressure checks, glucose testing, nutrition and weight counseling, back-to-school dental exams and HIV/AIDS testing.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 6 at The Gallery at South DeKalb Mall, 2801 Candler Road. Information: Cherry Willis, 404-241-8006.
