Cobb chairman says tax revenue on the rise.

May 15, 2014

Cobb Commission Chairman Tim Lee held an afternoon press conference Thursday to say tax revenues dedicated toward the new Atlanta Braves stadium in the Cumberland Mall area.

Lee said the county’s hotel/motel tax revenue is up more than seven percent, and increases in the county-wide property tax revenue will allow the county to reduce the amount tax increase for businesses in the Cumberland Community Improvement District by 10 percent — to a 2.7-percent increase from the original 3 percent.

That increase will be reflected in tax bills issued in July.
