Kennesaw State University will be the new home of the official papers of U.S. Rep. Phil Gingrey.
The Republican congressman from Marietta and former state senator donated the papers to the college this month, and is the first congressional collection received by Kennesaw State. The records, which will be housed in the college’s Horace W. Sturgis Library, span Gingrey’s political career from 2002 to present.
Gingrey ends his sixth congressional term next month. He leaves office after an unsuccessful bid for U.S. Senate earlier this year.
