A community came together to give a 10-year-old boy the best birthday present ever: the gift of sight.

Fourth grader Andrew Borden is legally blind.

The boy from Maryville, Tennessee has a rare disease that affects his vision.

His father found a solution in high-tech glasses.

He came to Atlanta to get fitted and see how they work.

His family couldn't afford them.

"Ten thousand dollars may seem expensive, but these glasses are priceless with what they can do,” Borden said.

People in the community came together to raise the money to buy the glasses for him.

He now has 20/20 vision with the glasses.
