LaGrange Police Chief Lou Dekmar, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Vernon Keenan and officials from the Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Aging are releasing a law enforcement roll call training video entitled “Elder Abuse: Hiding in Plain Sight.”

The premiere of the video is Thursday at 1 p.m. at The Active Life, a senior citizen center in LaGrange.

Residents of The Active Life are featured in the production, which highlights crimes committed against citizens over the age of 65 and citizens with disabilities who are over the age of 18.

The purpose of the 22-minute video is to train law enforcement officers on the key indicators and how to respond to the crimes of physical abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, abandonment, sexual abuse, and trafficking involving these two vulnerable populations.
