Sandy Springs will host a celebration to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at 10 a.m. Monday at the City Hall Council Chambers, 7840 Roswell Road. The event will feature presentation of the 2013 Humanitarian Award which recognizes an individual who has shown outstanding commitment to community service.

Rodney Bullard, executive director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation will be this year’s keynote speaker. Bullard oversees the corporate philanthropic strategy for Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A.
