Judge McBurney says he’s been told to stay another hour, hands out snacks

Fulton County Judge Robert McBurney told reporters he’s been told to remain at the courthouse another hour while the grand jury continued to meet.

McBurney made the announcement around 7:15 p.m.

The Fulton County courthouse typically closes at 5 p.m., but the building remained open Monday .as the district attorney’s office continued its presentation to the grand jury.

McBurney also handed out potato chips to those waiting in his courtroom.
