Jonesboro teen arrested on child porn charge
A 19-year-old was arrested in Clayton County on Thursday after authorities said he shared child pornography on the internet.
Tyler Harris was charged with a single count of sexual exploitation of children following a search of his Jonesboro home by GBI agents and Clayton deputies, investigators said.
The GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit began looking into the teen’s online activity after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the agency said in a news release. Authorities said the arrest is part of an ongoing effort to identify those involved in the child pornography trade.
Harris was booked into the Clayton County Jail, where he remains held without bond, online records show.
