Christine Jeong, a 5th grader at Wilson Creek Elementary School in Johns Creek, learned Wednesday at a school assembly that she is the Georgia winner in the sixth annual “Doodle for Google” contest. Google announced 50 state winners in its Doodle 4 Google competition, a contest to redesign the Google logo inspired by the theme “My Best Day Ever …” All 50 state winners will have their doodle displayed in an exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. “My best day ever would definitely involve animals,” said Christine, whose doodle is entitled Concert with Animals. The winning student will receive a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 technology grant for his/her school. Until May 10, the public can vote on their favorite doodle at http://www.google.com/doodle4google/vote.html.
