Authorities said they are still seeking leads in a Douglas County hit-and-run that killed a man Saturday morning.

The Douglas County coroner’s office said the man’s body was identified as that of Robert Stopoef, 68, of Lithia Springs, WSB-TV reported.

The incident happened between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. near Thornton Road and Waterford Club Drive, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s office.

Spokesman Glenn Daniel said the victim, a man in his 50s, has not been identified, and police have no description of the vehicle or driver.

Daniel asked anyone who has information on the incident or who “saw anything” in the area at the time of the incident to please call the Douglas County Sheriff’s office at 678-486-1253 or 770-949-5656 and ask for investigator Josh Miller.
