A DeKalb County man was charged with murder Wednesday for the death of his wife, whose body was found inside a car at a park, police said.

Valance Devon Taylor, 42, of Lithonia, told police his wife had been missing more than 24 hours, DeKalb County police told Channel 2 Action News.

But when Anisa Taylor was found dead inside a car Tuesday afternoon at Salem Park in Lithonia, Valance Taylor’s story didn’t add up, according to Major Cornelius Yarbro.

Early Wednesday, Valance Taylor was arrested and charged with murder for allegedly killing Anisa Taylor, 34, according to police. He was being held Wednesday night without bond in the DeKalb County jail.
