Hurricane-related power outages plague southeast Georgia

Recovering from Hurricane Matthew: These are the counties most affected by continuing power outages on Saturday afternoon, according to Georgia Power, which also lists the number of customers without power. As of 4 p.m. Saturday, the company said it had a total of 1,841 outages affecting about 240,000 customers. In addition, tens of thousands of other people served by electric membership cooperatives were without power.

Chatham County 126,000

Glynn County 40,000

Effingham County 25,000

Bulloch County 16,000

Liberty County 11,000

Camden County 10,000

Bryan County 5,000

Wayne County 5,000

McIntosh County 4,100
