Two school administrators and a senior class adviser at Shikellamy High School in Northumberland County were put on paid administrative leave after the messy prank May 10, WNEP reported.

District Superintendent Tom Scholvin did not release the names of those involved, but did confirm the two administrators were the high school's principal and vice-principal, The Daily Item reported.

According to the school district’s website, the principal is Mike Egan, the vice principal is Brandy Wiest and the senior class adviser for 2019 is Joe Walsh, the newspaper reported.

Scholvin and school director Slade Shreck said students released two live chickens that were locked in the classroom overnight, flipped over desks and papered the school halls with toilet paper, The Daily Item reported.

“We had some very upset teachers because this is their place of employment,” Scholvin told the newspaper. “They took it to heart.”

"There was a lot of toilet paper, a lot of Vaseline on the handles of doors. There were chickens," Brian Snyder, a Shikellamy High School senior not involved in the prank, told WNEP.

The chickens were unharmed, Shreck said.
