Hickory Flat Elementary given state OK to become a charter school

Henry County’s Hickory Flat Elementary has almost completed the process of becoming a conversion charter school and will open as Hickory Flat Charter Elementary in the fall. The State Board of Education approved the school’s charter application last week, following years of research, meetings and detailed preparations.
