A Henry County man known for working as a DJ at skating rinks, schools and youth groups has been sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty Friday to multiple charges of sex crimes against children.
Malcolm Rhodes, 25, of McDonough, received a 20-year sentence with at least eight to be served behind bars, Henry Assistant District Attorney Megan Matteucci said in a news release. Rhodes will also be required to register as a sex offender for life.
Rhodes pleaded guilty to eight charges: five counts of child molestation, two counts of sexual battery against a child under the age of 16, and one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes, Matteucci said. The charges stem from his time working at the Starlite Family Fun Center, where he met the victims in 2018 and 2019.
Rhodes was originally arrested in late 2019 after a man reported him to police for molesting his 15-year-old son inside their home, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported. Months later, Rhodes was indicted on additional charges related to two other victims. All of the incidents happened within the same 2018-19 time period.
