A stranger stabbed a Clermont woman in the abdomen at her home on Wednesday morning, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim said she was assaulted by a man she did not know at her home on Avalon Commons Way around 9 a.m.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said that the man took unknown items from the woman and fled the scene.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time, but the sheriff’s office said she was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no information about the description of the suspect.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the assault.
