There were probably a few angry students Tuesday at three Hall County schools. But that’s still safer than an angry bear.

Three schools cancelled outdoor activities and recess after a parent spotted a large, black bear while dropping off a student Tuesday morning, school system officials said.

The schools included the Sardis Enrichment School, the Chestatee Academy of Inquiry and Talent Development and Chestatee High School.

It was not immediately known if bears were seen later in the day near the schools.
