A woman is dead after someone shot her multiple times outside of a College Park hotel early Friday and then drove away, officials said.

College Park police said 30-year-old Aughstardy Hudson was found fatally shot outside the Travelodge hotel on Old National Park Drive, Channel 2 Action News reported. Family members told Channel 2 that Hudson was a mother of four.

Officers arrived at the hotel about 5:30 a.m. Friday and found Hudson dead at the scene, Channel 2 reported.

Investigators determined the woman had gotten out of a red Jeep outside of the hotel just minutes before her death. She was walking toward the building with her back turned toward the Jeep when the man driving the vehicle rolled down the window and fired several times, police said.

While authorities have not identified the man, police said he was seen leaving the area in the Jeep.

Anyone with information on the fatal shooting is asked to contact College Park police at 678-536-4775.
