Grayson will host members of the Gwinnett County Police Department at a Coffee with a Cop event 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug.12 at the Grayson Coffee House, 502 Grayson Parkway. The first 10 customers will receive a free regular drip coffee.

The event is designed to be an informal discussion without speakers or specific agendas. Participants are encouraged to ask local police questions, share any concerns and learn more about Gwinnett Police. Residents may ask about jurisdiction, when to call police and the most frequent types of calls regularly handed by police.

Police officers will discuss challenges of their job, inform residents about any recent crime trends, gang activity or traffic issues, and in general answer any question posed. Grayson officials hope to encourage an ongoing conversation between police and residents for a stronger community.
