Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School is collecting beverage can pull tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charities and gotten help from a far-away supporter. Helen Makowski, grandmother of Immaculate Heart student Olivia Bily, heard of the school’s efforts and asked all her neighbors in New York to collect their tabs. She then shipped the results of her labors to Olivia: a package of tabs weighing more than 10 pounds for delivery to the Ronald McDonald House. The school collects the pull tabs all year and welcomes help from people like Olivia’s grandmother. The school is at 2855 Briarcliff Road in Atlanta and has 500 students in kindergarten through eighth grades.
