Gov. Nathan Deal signed a pair of education bills into law Thursday that he said would remove more barriers to students.

The first proposal, Senate Bill 2, would allow certain high school students to enroll in a college or university if they can pass a college entrance exam and have completed freshman- and sophomore-level high school course work.

The second measure, Senate Bill 132, is known as the "Move on when Ready" act. It revises current state law to make it easier for high school students to attend college and take dual-credit courses.
