Good Samaritan dives into Maryland bay to save infant ejected in car crash

First responders arrived on the scene of a horrific crash Sunday afternoon in Ocean City, Maryland, to a vehicle dangling over the guardrail.
An infant was ejected into the Assawoman Bay below.
A good Samaritan immediately jumped into the bay to rescue the child, according to the Ocean City Fire Department.
Seven people were taken to various hospitals with injuries, while the child was flown by helicopter to Johns Hopkins Children’s Hospital in Baltimore.
Firefighters secured the car.
It’s unclear what caused the vehicle to nearly go off the bridge. A mass casualty incident was declared.
