A 23-year-old Maryland woman who stopped to help a driver involved in a crash was killed when she was hit by another vehicle, WTOP reported.
The woman, Jhonna Nicole Caballero, of Crofton, was assisting a driver who had struck a barrier on a Maryland highway in Prince George's County at 4:10 a.m. Sunday, WTTG reported. While assisting the driver of a silver Pontiac Grand Am, Caballero was hit by an Infiniti G37, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, WTOP reported.
Police arrested a 37-year-old man from Springdale, Maryland, on suspicion of driving under the influence, WRC reported. Police have not released the man's name, the television station reported.
