Georgia’s tax collections collections are up again as the state’s financial picture continues to improve.

Gov. Nathan Deal said Monday that net tax collections for July jumped about 6 percent compared with the same month last year.

The boost was thanks to a surge in individual income tax collections and sales tax receipts that offset a drop in corporate income tax.
