The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death of a cab driver found dead at a Norcross apartment complex overnight.

Afolabi Odifa, 36, was found slumped over the wheel of his taxi in front of 800 Chase Common Dr. in the Spring Lakes Apartment complex, Channel 2 Action news reported. Odifa, who worked for ATL Taxi, had been shot in the back of the head, according to the Gwinnett Medical Examiner’s Office which was called to the scene. Norcross police are assisting in the case.

Neighbors told authorities they had noticed the victim slumped over the wheel of his car around 11 p.m. Friday and initially thought he was passed out. The police were called around 3 a.m.

Although there are no suspects at this time, investigators are following numerous leads.
