Last year, one of the payoffs was an iPad cart for the fifth grade. This year, the PTO, working with the teachers and administrators, could have as much as $44,000 to spend on academic extras for Heards Ferry Elementary School. That’s how much was pledged during the Sandy Springs school’s second annual Boosterton Fun Run fundraiser. It was kicked off by a very enthusiastic group of kindergartens.The Boosterthon Crew, with parents, students, and teachers, works to strengthen schools on four important values for every child; integrity, enthusiasm, leadership, and results. And this year’s results were awesome, said Melissa Marsh, media assistant.
