Free COVID-19 testing now offered in Paulding, Bartow, Floyd, Walker counties

Four northwest Georgia counties are now offering free screenings for the coronavirus, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Those experiencing symptoms of the virus can be tested at sites in Paulding, Bartow, Floyd and Walker counties, the DPH said.

Some without symptoms may also be eligible for testing, including healthcare workers, first responders, residents of a nursing home or other group home, and others working jobs where they may have been exposed to the virus, the DPH said.

Those seeking tests are asked to call 706-802-5329 from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sunday to schedule the testing.
