A group of lawmakers, chaired by state Sen. Fran Millar, R-Dunwoody, meets Tuesday to begin looking at potential reforms to the state’s foster care system. The meeting takes place from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 307 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building, across from the state Capitol in downtown Atlanta. The group is officially known as the Lieutenant Governor’s Foster Care Initiative Working Group. This will be the first of three planned meetings of the group, which is made up soley of senators.
