The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has arrested five people suspected of stealing the mail of 127 victims so they could assume their identities.

According to a statement from the agency released Thursday, a burglary investigation turned into an identity theft investigation when deputies executed a search warrant at a house in the 1700 block of Commonwealth Trail in south Forsyth County.

Investigators found hundreds of pieces of stolen mail, check making materials, counterfeit money, fraudulent checks, stolen checks, fake Georgia Driver’s License, dozens of credit cards, financial information and personal information on hundreds of people, the sheriff’s office said.

Daniel Moss, 48, and Sandra Stepp, 46, both living on Commonwealth Trail, were charged with first degree forgery, financial transaction card theft and manufacturing fictitious identification. Alexandrea Moore, 20, of Cumming was charged with possession of methamphetamine and Drug Related Objects and Kenneth Wilbanks, 23, also of Cumming was charged with violating his probation for a felony conviction. Aaron Stuart, 28, of Alpharetta charged with forgery but also arrested on an outstanding Gwinnett County a warrant.
