Roger Ailes, the Fox News founder and ex-chairman has died at the age of 77.

Ailes’ wife released a statement to Fox News Thursday saying he died this morning. In the statement, she called him a patriot who “affected the lives of many millions.”

Ailes departed Fox News in July 2016 after several women accused him of sexual harassment.
