A suspect running from Duluth police was hit by an officer’s car Monday morning, authorities said.

According to Gwinnett police Cpl. Jake Smith, Duluth police were attempting a traffic stop when the driver refused to stop and jumped out of the car and ran away from police.

The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Bryan Seth Stanley of Lawrenceville, collided with an unmarked Duluth police vehicle as he attempted to elude officers, authorities said. Stanley was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center.

Officers from Duluth and Gwinnett police, as well as the Georgia State Patrol, were on the scene. Duluth police and GSP will be investigating the case.
