Georgia’s First Lady Sandra Deal is helping draw attention to a program offering free meals to eligible children age 18 and under, as well as to some eligible adults. She is visiting sites participating in the annual Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). The SFSP is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered in Georgia by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL).The first lady visits the Walton Crossing Adventure Center in Austell on Monday morning and the Elizabeth Porter Recreation Center in Marietta for lunch. Her schedule also includes the Kiwanis Residential Day Camp operated by the Boys & Girls Club in Danielsville on Tuesday; the Waller Recreation Center in Roswell and the Pleasant Hill Community Center in Roswell on July 29; and the Boys and Girls Club in Toccoa on July 30.
