Iredell County EMS said it transported several patients to area hospitals from the incident, which occurred on a street in Mooresville.

State Highway Patrol officials said the crash was the result of a bolt coming out of a steering wheel of a golf cart. There were seven people on the golf cart at the time it crashed, authorities said, including four children.

Once the bolt fell out, troopers said, the wheel turned in and the golf cart flipped.
