One person was ejected in a multi-vehicle crash Thursday night on I-20 near downtown, Atlanta police said.
The wreck blocked all westbound lanes of I-20, just past Windsor Street and west of the Downtown Connector, shortly after 9 p.m. Officer John Chafee said.
The lanes were expected to remain closed until around 1 a.m. Friday, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. Motorists were advised to avoid the area, if possible.
The ejected person, whose name was not released, was in critical condition, Chafee said.
Details about how the crash occurred were not released late Thursday.
