Veteran educator Peter Lemonds was recently honored by his colleagues from across the state with a top teaching award. The state chapter of the American String Teachers Association selected the Duluth High music educator as the 2013 Educator of the Year, recognizing his years of commitment to Georgia music students. Lemonds has been on the faculty at Duluth High since 2000. He is co-director of orchestras and the district’s lead teacher for school orchestras.
