A driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition Thursday after an early-morning wreck involving three vehicles on I-75 South in Atlanta, authorities said.

The crash, which occurred around 4:30 a.m. near the Peachtree Battle Avenue overpass, blocked all lanes for more than two hours.

A Dodge pickup truck was traveling south on the interstate when it was rear-ended by a Hyundai Elantra, police said.

A Dodge pickup truck was traveling south on the interstate when it was rear-ended by a Hyundai Elantra, according to a news release from Atlanta police. The Dodge then struck the barrier wall and a third vehicle, another pickup truck, then hit a piece of debris, police said.

The driver of the Hyundai, whose name was not released, was listed in critical condition, police said. The other two drivers had minor injuries.

The wreck remains under investigation.
