A driver hit an ambulance transporting a dialysis patient in DeKalb County early Wednesday morning.

According to DeKalb police, no one was seriously injured in the crash, which happened about 5:45 a.m. on southbound Candler Road over I-20.

The patient was taken to a local hospital. Authorities had no further information about the person’s condition.

The driver who struck the ambulance was given a traffic citation, according to police.
