Fans who loved seeing Donald Glover as a debonair, sensitive version of Lando Calrissian in “Solo: A Star Wars Story” have been celebrating all week about an exciting-but-unconfirmed tweet.

A superfan of the classic fantasy series Noah Outlaw, who hosts YouTube channel “Kessel Run Transmissions,” announced Wednesday that Glover, a native of Stone Mountain, would star in a new Disney+ series starring as Lando. Disney has yet to release a statement confirming the show’s arrival.

Many have taken the proclamation as truth because the YouTube channel has broken similar “Star Wars” news in the past. According to Jeremy Conrad of “Star Wars Unity,” the channel shared news about “The Bad Batch” before Lucasfilm made an announcement about its Disney+ release.

Glover’s appearance in the 2018 film marked his first turn as the reimagined version of the iconic character first played by the legendary Billy Dee Williams in “The Empire Strikes Back” in 1980.

Prior to this week’s announcement, Grace Randolph, another YouTuber, shared a scoop about Glover’s popular character coming to the streaming service in April.

For fans just receiving the news this week, their elation was spread far and wide in Twitterverse.
