A California family's pet dog did not back down from a bear.
Video shows the small dog stare the bear down in the backyard.
Soon after, the chase begins, with the dog darting after the bear.
The dog's owner says she got a call from a family member about the uninvited guest.
"I just turned around and yeah, my heart was skipping a beat," Ennie Gonzaga said.
The bear roamed through yards and driveways in the neighborhood.
It even chased a deer before deputies scared it away.
