A Delta Air Lines flight from Detroit to Atlanta slid off the taxiway Monday morning.

Delta spokesman Morgan Durrant said flight 2283 slid into a grassy area off the taxiway about 6:40 a.m.

“All 180 customers have (been) bused to the terminal where their flight will depart on another aircraft later this morning,” he said in an emailed statement.

The plane, which remained in a grassy area, will undergo an inspection before it is moved, Durrant said.

The Detroit News reports the flight was preparing to take off when it slid off the taxiway. One passenger told the paper none of the 180 passengers seemed to realize the plane slid off the runway until the pilot made an announcement.

There were no injuries reported, Delta officials said.
