A man charged with murder in the killing of a 67-year-old Atlanta woman is now in jail, authorities said.

Quaveous Antwon Smith, 33, was taken into custody Tuesday by DeKalb County sheriff’s deputies at a Belvedere Circle residence in Decatur.

According to an arrest warrant, Smith is accused of killing Mary Clark, who died from injuries sustained when her home was shot up Oct. 8 following a fight between Smith and a member of Clark’s family.

Smith was arrested without incident and taken to the DeKalb County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
