Gwinnett County police said they are investigating what appears to be a drug-related shooting that resulted in a man’s death at an apartment complex in unincorporated Lilburn on Sunday afternoon.

Oshane Scott, 27, of Lilburn, was found dead at The Aurora @ Twenty Seven Hundred apartments, Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Collin Flynn said. Officers went to the complex to investigate a report of a shooting shortly before 3 p.m. and found Scott with a gunshot wound to the head, Flynn said.

“Investigators believe that Scott lived at the apartment where the murder took place,” Flynn said. “At this time, investigators do not believe this was a random incident and the motive appears to be drug-related.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gwinnett police at 770-513-5300. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting the Crime Stoppers website.
